The Mission |
Fernwork Arts Incubator's mission is to foster the creation and presentation of new art through the formation of a cross-discipline community of artists; conduct joint fundraising efforts on behalf of individual artists; and create public awareness and support of artists and artistic projects.

Funding |
Fernwork Arts Incubator is a 501 (c) 3 not for profit tax exempt organization incorporated in 2003. Donations to FAI are tax deductible. Donations can be for general operating support or may be allocated for specific projects.

Etta Worthington, President
Etta Worthington is a writer and independent filmmaker and member of the Television Department faculty at Columbia College. She holds an M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.A. from Columbia College.

Kathryn McKee, Vice President
As president of Business Development for the Arts, Kathryn provides grant writing and grants management services for organizations such as the Kohl Children’s Museum, Maywood Fine Arts Association, Pleasant Home Foundation, The Morton Arboretum, and The Art Institute of Chicago. She holds a graduate degree in Arts Management from Columbia College and a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois.

Ashley Simone, Secretary
Ashley Simone is a performer who received her early training at Oak Park River Forest High School and the Academy of Movement and Music in Oak Park. Following studies in theater at Columbia College Chicago, Ashley toured for two and a half years with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. She performs locally in independent films and small theatres and weekly at the Green Mill in Chicago. In addition to performing, she produces documentary films.

Katherine Cornell, Director
As Midwest Regional Director for Cornell University, Kathy brings nine years of professional fund raising experience to the FAI board. In additional to her professional expertise, Kathy is an ‘artist at heart” having directed and produced productions at Village Theater Guild in Glen Ellyn and Beacon Street Theater in Geneva, Illinois. Kathy received her B.S. degree from Cornell University.

Jackie Anderson, Director
Jackie Anderson works for the corporate real estate firm, Jones Lang LaSalle as an Associate Project Manager. She most recently stage managed for the Touring Company of The Second City. Prior to that, she produced “SCARRIE - The Musical” with Hell in a Handbag Productions. Jackie has stage managed for Live Bait Theater, the Chicago Humanities Festival, Emerald City Theatre, SmashTheatre, Defiant Theatre, and the Jeff-recommended "Black Nativity" at Goodman Theatre. Jackie is currently the manager for Chicago's premier a cappella choir, Bella Voce.
